And she's off!!!
Katelyn has been on the verge of walking for a few weeks now. As you can see below, she can really cruise with her little walker toy. Well, news flash, she took her first steps just this afternoon!!! sob sob... She will go a good 5 or 6 steps without losing her balance or grabbing onto something. I knew it would happen at some point, I just don't want it to!! My baby is growing up!!

Fun with the sprinkler!!!

We bought K a neat little "Six Flags" water sprinkler from Walmart a couple weeks ago. She loves anything to do with water, so we thought it would be a fun way to cool off in the back yard. Daddy set it all up and then we had fun getting sprayed!! When Katelyn was all done, she tried out streaking in the yard!! Woohoo!

First road trip!

On Sunday (7/9/06) we went down to Misquamicut Beach with some good friends. We had so much fun, it was gorgeous weather and we had a great day! Katelyn is truly a beach baby, she LOVED it! It was so much fun playing in the water, jumping in the waves and soaking up the rays! Katelyn was very brave, the water and the waves didn't scare her at all, even after she got a face full of water! And she loved the salty taste too, she couldn't stop licking her lips and sucking on her fingers. Everyone had a blast!

Here comes #6 now!
Tooth that is!! Katelyn was abnormally fussy this evening, so we took a peek and sure enough, next one on her top right is about to pop out. It also looks like another on the bottom, but I couldn't get a great look to verify. Big, fat, juicy steaks, watch out!
Moose on the loose!!

We woke up to find this in our neighbor's yard on July 4th!!! It was pretty exciting, you don't see too much wild life around here. If you watched the CBS Channel 3 Springfield News, you would have seen Eric on at 6:00pm. They showed him with two of our neighbors looking over our fence at the moose. The Environmental Police came in and tranquilized the moose so they could load it up and take it away. It was only a baby, but they estimated that she was 6 feet tall and 400 lbs! Thats some baby! In the third pic you will see our little goof ball looking through the door at me. I told her to give me a kiss, and well, the face was too cute to not snap a quick picture of!!

A year already??

That can't be possible!! My little tiny baby is not almost one year old already!!! I refuse to accept that she is growing up as we speak! Ok, fine, I will admit it because I need to do some bragging over here!! My girl is just so ready to become the chatter box that I know she will be someday very soon. I don't know what to consider as her first word, she has said so many! Lets see, over the last couple weeks she has said: Birdy, cookie, baby, pretty, daisy, bless you and just yesterday-Katelyn! She likes to repeat things. She is such a little parrot, I have to warn people to please be careful what they say in front of her. One of her other new tricks is this: she will bark when asked "What does a doggie say?" Of course, there are times when people are around that we try this trick and she smiles and looks at me, so people must think I am nutso! But she honestly does (usually) do it, she did it in front of our friends Amy and Jeff and my parents as well. Every day is an adventure, she loves to be on the go, exploring and having fun. -Or playing in the toilet, her new favorite activity! Yuck! I just honestly can't believe its been almost a year since we were blessed with our little baby!
